Faith in the Family for Advent
The parish group Faith in the Family at St Mary Star of the Sea in Hastings prepared over forty Advent Family and Wreath Making packs which were distributed through the local Catholic Primary School, St Mary Star of the Sea and both the churches in Hastings.
They also held an event in school, for families, to help them prepare for Advent. This session included time to chat whilst colouring in an Advent wreath, a question and answer session and we finished with a prayer service. Then the families took their packs home to make their Advent Wreath together and to celebrate Advent through more time for prayer, saying sorry for the things they get wrong, and helping others, especially those in need.
