Catholic Deanery of Eastbourne and St Leonards

Welcome to the temporary website of the Deanery of Eastbourne and St Leonards.

The Diocese will soon be providing a website closely integrated with its own. In the meantime, this simple site complements the new Deanery Newsletters.

As we begin a new season together, autumn offers a natural opportunity to pause, reflect and look ahead. Across our churches, this is a time of renewed activity: worship, prayer, formation, service and opportunities to meet and journey with one another. As a Catholic community, our faith is centred on Christ and nourished through prayer, the Eucharist, the Gospel and the life we share with others. Yet the journey of faith is not something we are expected to make alone. Our Deanery brings together communities from Eastbourne and St Leonards, across to Rye and up to Hailsham and Battle. As we continue our journey of building bridges of cooperation across our communities, we have an opportunity to discover more about one another and to find new ways of working, praying and serving together.
