Welcome to the temporary website of the new Parish of Eastbourne and St Leonards.

The Diocese will soon be providing a website closely integrated with its own. In the meantime, this simple site complements the new Parish Newsletters.

The season of Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, 18 February, and there will be opportunities across the New Parish to mark the season. Lent commemorates Jesus’ time in the desert, and Christians participate in his suffering by self-denial and good works. If you give something up for Lent, do consider donating what it would have cost to a good cause like Aid to the Church in Need https://acnuk.org or Cafod https://cafod.org.uk

We ask for your continued prayers for wisdom, unity, and openness to the Holy Spirit as we move forward as one New Parish. We have been truly blessed by the renewed life in our Deanery, seen especially in the many new faithful who have joined or returned to us in recent months. We thank God for the quiet yet genuine revival taking place across our communities.

Please pray also for the Holy Spirit to direct those whose task it is to lead the diocese while we await the appointment of a Bishop, and that Pope Leo may choose a good and holy man to lead and care for the Church in this diocese.
